Okay, that was my bad. I asked the question about the floaty letters. Personally, I like Grape soda, and Diet cola.

before i say anything, i have been the victim of MANY people stereotyping me. so none of yall go sayin that im a stereotypical person. ok here it is:
Gothic is actually a type of person that worships the devil. everyone sees them as the people that wear all black. that is usually the case, but just because someone wears a lot of black doesnt mean they are gothic. they could be punk, skater, emo, goth, or just plain edgy. emo stands for emotionally unstable. they are known as the cutters (sad but sometimes true). i hang with emos, but i dont cut and i worship God.
does that help any? i hope it does. =]

Wooah! Nope. No way, sorry, you're wrong. I've been goth all my life and I most certainly do NOT worship the devil. Talk about stereotyping.... 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Thank you for the clarification, but it IS true what aneeh said. Goths do not worship the devil. I have loved Goth for a long time and there is a HUGE difference between Goths and Satanists. But I am very thankful that you told me what emo is. I just didn't know anything about it and I saw the emo people dressing kinda Goth so I got a bit confused. I love Goth and I used to be a cutter so I guess I'm a little like a lot of y'all. I don't worship any higher power except maybe the Ceiling Cat. =)

Emo is originally a form of hardcore punk. I don't really know much about the music.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo

Goth was derivative of post-punk. Siouxsie is usually credited with making up the name (in reference to music and not, yknow, Germanic tribes), and other notable bands include Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, etc. NOT Marilyn Manson.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goth_music

Both words are now used to describe something completely different than what the original music/fashion was.
